I have the good fortune to be spending this week studying with/visiting Laura Fry, and I thought I'd share some of the things I've learned on my blog. Yesterday, one of the things we covered was how to beam on a warp quickly and easily using a warping valet (also called a trapeze). Kati Reeder Meek has written a book on this titled "How to Warp with a Trapeze and Dance with Your Loom", which has more details, but I thought some of you might be interested in what I learned - so I took photos and posted them with an explanation on my blog, http://www.travelingtiger.com/blog . We're also spending quite a bit of time on weaving ergonomics - we've taken several videos (some of Laura demoing and some of me weaving) - I'm hoping to post those on my blog after I get home and have access to video editing software.
I'm learning gobs and gobs, and am here through Wednesday (when I fly home) - boy, do I feel lucky!!!
