A brand new Purrington Loom has hit the weaving world.  This 26" floor loom as a few specialized modifications such as a threaded brake release, a 1" race, and a added hole that allows the skewers to be used to hold the beater/reed in an upright position for slaying.  Made from WV hard maple the new 4H/6T loom is heading for sunny Florida.  This newest member of the Purrington Family will be used for dishtowels, scarves, and placemats.  The new owner was first introduced to a used Purrington in February of this year and fell in love with the ease of use, convenience of folding and travel.    The next loom to hit the ground will be another 26" 4H/6T from WV hard maple, hopefully within the month.  Plans are being made to showcase a very special loom at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival in May, 2014.

Loved both the table and the folding loom. Usually I don't like jack looms, but this one may have won my heart.
