I'm just getting back into weaving on my Baby Wolf. It's had a hard life; I think my ex-husband had it folded up in the garage for 7 years before I was able to retrieve it. It seems to be working find...except the beater is not hitting the fell evenly. I've gone to the Schact website and followed their advice (gently twisting it). I've measured to make sure the loom is open all the way, and it seems to be squared. I've placed a level on the castle to make sure I'm level from side to side, and front to back. The left side of the better still hits about 1/16" of an inch before the right side of the beater. I haven't gone so far as to completely take the beater off the loom, lay it on a flat surface and see if it's just warped somehow, but I'm tempted. Would that even work? If it is warped, can anyone give me any ideas on how to unwarp it? Sanding? Would Schact sell me a new beater assembly or would that be pointless? What I just totally dismantled the loom, checked all the screws, and reassembled it? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help. Lisa Ann in Upstate Carolina
