Thanks Deb, that gives us a good start to collect some information about rag rugs.

I know there are several books specific to rag rugs and I recently purchased an old copy of Weaver's that focuses on rag rugs.  Perhaps others in the group have found some sources of rug weaving to share.

My all time favorite is a great book for weavers in general but the emphasis is on rag weaving - is

Rag Weaving Gimmicks and Tricks by Joanna Erickson.

The book is charming and chock full of useful information. The illustrations alone are worth the price of admission. I teach rag rug weaving, and recommend that this is the book students ought to buy!

People can buy RAG WEAVING GIMMICKS AND TRICKS from WEBS, The Yarn Barn, Halcyon, Camilla Valley Farms, Mannings,or ask their local weaving supplier to get it for them Joanna Erickson or email her at [email protected]
