You are an Angel for this!  I have been trying to copy info to a word document but I still get lost reading, I have wandered in so many directions that I needed a signpost like this!

Thank you!

Thank you Anne for the feed back-i needed that! I am going to put up another about 4-selvedge finishes-again something that we have already dealt with but is LOST in the group somewhere. If you or anyone else can think of any other suitable FAQ's please let me know.

Laverne

PS..It doesn't have to be a frequent question-anything that you are looking for and struggling to pin down. You can be sure that if you are looking for it others are too!

Laverne,

I've been studying the charts for supplementary weft patterning. I haven't seen or used a chart with diagonal spacing before, so I "translated" one  of them to a square grid (which I'm more familiar with), and I understand and can read your charts now. But I've looked on the web for a chart template like the one you used, and I can't find one with those stretched diagonals. Could you list a source for this type of chart, so that I can try to "translate" some square chart  designs back over to the diamond-shaped one?

Jeanne, the graph paper comes from here:

incompetech.com/graphpaper/diamond/

You just set the size and colour, and save the pdf file to your hard drive so you can print out as much as you want.

Some free beading programs also use a diagonal oval graph paper, and you can use them for generating coloured patterns and motifs.

I am looking for someone that might like to teach backstrap weaving at the Southeastern fiber forum in April of 2011.  We would like to stay pretty local with the teachers, to keeps costs down.   Arrowmont in Gatlinburg TN. will be the venue.

Thanks much,
