I recently purchased a used Beka loom.  I have purchased used floor looms but this is my first used rh loom.  I should have asked a few more questions and gotten some pictures.  I am having construction problems.  I may just need a few more bolts but I'm not sure.

I also own a brand new Harp and I love it.  I received the stand and bag for it as birthday gifts which has made the loom even more wonderful.  The stand on the Harp also holds the pegs for the warping board.  Very clever these Polish woodworkers.

I am attaching pictures of the Beka in threading process.  I avoided the teeth by adding dowels to the front and back beam and going through the heddles and on to the back dowel which I attached in three places to the back beam.  Maybe the pictures will explain it better.

hi Claudia, I have a cheap Beka knock off, from somewhere behind the old Iron Curtain, and the first thing I had to do was add a couple of cross pieces to brace it at each end. This can interfere with the amount of cloth you can weave, but hopefully will make the loom usable. Its still a bit wobbly, but I'll see how I go. At the price I paid for it ( to get the rigid heddle) I'm not about to lose anything if it doesn't work, and should get a handy loom out of it if it does.

In many of the groups I belong to, Beka seems to be a very common loom so I am presuming that your loom is far more sturdily built than mine is, so you have something to work with if you decide to strengthen it.

Hi Claudia, it is not clear whether your loom frame is shaky or the base is shaky. From your photo is looks like you have your base legs crossed.  On my old beka the legs do not cross like an x, they go straight down to a base which has a cross bar on the floor stablilizing it.  You'll like your rh, I've posted a picture below of how I modified mine to drop in Lao pickup (long story) but I think you can see the standard base that holds up the rigid heddle frame.  regards  Deb

ps, the wonders of technology, I did a google search and come up with this side photo...quick!  Look before the link goes old!

I have no affiliation with whoever is selling at the above link, I provide the link PURELY for the photo of the rh WITH the stand!

Below is my loom with a "few" additions.....basically build another outside frame to use it as a counterbalance.
