Hi everyone!  I'm Cheeky. I live in a small town that is somewhere between Philly and Allentown.  I work mostly with my own handspun yarn in my weaving.

Hi!  I live near Harrisburg, PA and I have been weaving about one year.  I mostly make things using color and texture in plain weave, but I am starting to plan more complicated projects.

Hi:  I have a shop/studio just outside of Millersburg, Pa about 35 miles north of Harrisburg.  I've been spinning, weaving and knitting for 20 plus years.

Hi, I currently live in Chester County not far from Lancaster, and I've been weaving for 30+ years.  I started a weaving blog a few months ago and I like to post images and weaving drafts of things I have woven in the past and the present.  You're all invited to come and visit my blog and hope you like it.

I have to admit that I'm not a PA weaver at all. I'm a NE Ohio weaver near Burton, less than an hour from the border and always happy to hear about what's going on with the neighbors.

I've been weaving off and on for about 6 years and am most definitely still a beginner. I'm always on the lookout for guild activities and workshop options within driving distance and love to find out what other folks are up to.

Thanks!

I do have an aunt, uncle and cousin in Erie so I know they'll let me come over the border :)

Hi-

I live in Juniata County, half way between Harrisburg and State College.  I have been weaving for only 3 years.  Its great fun, but I have so much to learn.

Hi, I'm Kim and I'm in Elkins Park, PA, a northwest suburb of Philadelphia.  I started as a knitter, learned to spin, which led to weaving.

I'm east of Pittsburgh on the Allegheny county/westmoreland county line in Monroeville.  I have 3 homeschooled kids and sold my 4 harness loom due to lack of use years ago, and now am learning about tri-looms and small hazel rose looms.

My kids are active in the SCA, and I now want to build a warp weighted loom to take to events with them.

If anyone else is just back from Pennsic, hullo!

I live in East Berlin, 3 miles up from the Mannings. Our 4-H Fiber Club meets there and my older sister works there. I've been weaving for 2 1/2 years. And now I have to finish my essay for school which is due before tomorrow. No weaving today. Careena

Hi,

I live in NE Ohio, about 15 minutes from the PA border, but my daughter lives in Pittsburgh and we spend a lot of time there. I feel like I'm half Oh. and half Pa. I love the historic weaves and just did a workshop with Marjie Thompson at EGLFC. I have 4 8H looms, a 6 and a 2H rug loom.

Hi everyone,  very happy to learn there is a forum for weavers in PA to network.  I am fairly new to weaving.  My loom is an eight harness Hammett Marcoux.  Presently I am just thrilled to be weaving rag rugs but have a dream of some day weaving plaid dish towels.  Had a lovely Union Loom but found the ergonomics of it to be hard on my creaky back.  At the Marcoux I could weave all day.

Currently volunteering at a local museum helping to refresh their fiber exhibits.  The barn frame loom has received no attention in fifteen years.  Unrolling the very loooong rug from the apron beam was like opening a time capsule.  Today I will be puzzling out how to make a heddle jig unless I can find a resource for one.  Also to locate the best possible string for the task.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am located in Wysox, in Bradford County, very near to the NY border between Elmira and Binghamton.  Hoping to access the wealth of knowledge at the Home Textile Tool Museum, located nearby,  if possible.

Hi I live in East Greenville, Pa. Just found this group today. :)

Penn (not verified)

Another Central PA weaver--desultory--in Union Co. here, less than half an hour from Wmsport and Bloomsburg, about an hour from State College and Harrisburg.  Small world!  Currently refurbishing a Macomber, with two more in the wings.  Have an Artisat and a 4/6 Harrisville I'll be parting with at some point, if the Macombers work out.  Happy weaving, all!

Any teachers in the Central PA area? I live near Johnstown or Altoona willing to drive an hour to get someone to teach me.

I am also a beginning weaver and took a class at Red Stone Glen in York Haven, it was excellent.
