Hi Everyone, I am new to weaving and just got a Kromski Harp 32".  I would appreciate any recommendations on what to use to wind my warp, I seen that some use bamboo blinds.  Please help

Thanks

...and length of the warp you're winding on, bamboo blinds, thick (craft/mailing or wallpaper thick) paper, thin cardboard, warping sticks, catalogs, paper towel core tubes, wrapping paper core tubes, or envelopes can be used as separators for the layers of warp. What works for me may not be the best choice for you, and vice versa, but what I use is:

on narrow warps (bands & tapes) is reused business envelopes or toilet paper tubes.

On medium warps (dishcloths, scarves, etc.) paper towel tubes, & cut up paper grocery bags

I haven't done anything truly wide, as my largest loom is a 19" weaving width.

My local newspaper uses non-smudging ink that won't rub off on the warp.  I just grab as many sheets as needed for the thickness I want and use that when winding on.
