Agh - i have dyed over 60 skeins since Sunday - I have worked on Y, YR,   GY, R, B.

The results are the closest I've been able to come to;I've posted my results, and know that i have to change 3 of the 5, i'm close tho.

I'm going to move on to the other colors, post results and revisit my notes to redye the others to achieve the Color Wheel.

How's everyone else doing?

Karren, if you want to look at my excel and point me in any direction, i'd appreciate it - i'm running out of silk!

I did do some skeins for the color wheel but feel like I've probably used the wrong stocks to begin with (such as using Emerald Green instead of turquoise).  I am hoping to get two rounds of major dyeing done today after a nap (I am capable of making so many mistakes when I'm this tired) and seeing how the muscle spasms between my shoulder blades go.

Peggy, I think i remember Karren saying that Emerald would really lower the value and the chroma, but that didn't stop me from experimenting with it - it's in the bath as we speak! I have made more turquoise stock than anything else! well maybe mustard yellow!

I looked for your Excel spreadsheet on Google Docs and here on Weavolution, didn't find it.  If it's on google docs did you share it with me?

I'd be glad to try to help if I can find some data.

Yes, the emerald is a dulling green.  This is one of those colors where the name evokes something different to me than the way the dye actually works!  I figure that no matter what I end up with sample-wise, it's information for my Lanaset dye recipes.

I have just tried to make 5YR with Mustard and Deep Red, 5GY with Turquoise and Yellow, and continuing on with my 2nd batch of 5B using Turquoise, Royal Blue, and one jar with Black.

Maybe tonight Jeff can show me how to do a spreadsheet.  He has been drained with the pain from the tendonitis flare-up.

You have transformed a prodigous amount of boring white silk into beautiful colored silk.   More useful for weaving.

Oh, I get it you're running out of silk to transform.

Cathie told me that she has about 15 yards of silk left from each skein after she makes her chip.  100 skeins X 15 yards= 1500 yards of glorious colored silk.

Peggy,

I started the spread sheet on Google.docs and now all you have to do is double click on the space you want to fill in then type your entry and hit enter.  You don't need instructions, just try it.  Learn like the rest of us did, by fumbling around.

Thanks, Karren, for starting the document for me.  I did fill out the previous spread sheets - I just wasn't sure how to set it all up.

Karren, all I could find last night was what appeared to be the final formula spreadsheet for the color wheel.  I've set up my own trial spreadsheet (some of it was intuitive and a few touches were from Jeff).
