I have finished WEAVING my Montagnard inspired table center piece and now have to do the weft twined designs on the both ends. You can see that I am just over half way through twining the start edge which I am doing on my backstrap loom. I will take the piece off the loom to twine the other edge and suspend the weaving on a rod as the Montagnard weavers do using bobbins to carry the weft. The colors and designs are all traditional ones from  the Rhade and Jarai tribes to which my twining teachers belong.

More details are on my blog.

Gorgeous, Warmi! I hope to do something like that someday.

Merry Christmas to you and to all fellow backstrappers.

Your table runner looks lovely!  I'm impressed by how you can learn from so many people and so many techniques, and then come home and reproduce them in such a perfect way.

Thank you for sharing!

I put the warp on my Dorothy table loom following your instructions and had a great time playing.  I managed to get some great pickup that I will use for bookmarks or key rings.  I have try several times and am not able to get the pictures here, they are on my projects page.

This was your first try? Wow. Please do me a favor.... if you do another pebble weave on your table loom, please take a picture of it on the loom for me. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you guys!  So glad you like it!  Working on a WAL on Ravelry in the backstrap group with Laverne!  Doing one weft double weave and will post pics later!

An amazing job. Impeccable! I want to know the measures, please.

This is the demo warp that I took with me to the US. It got set up all over the place and with it I showed people different techniques for opening the heddle shed when using fine yarn. I warped it with no plan in mind and unwove all the demo when I got home.

Now I am doing  Central Asian design on it getting back into this alternating warp float technique as I have other projects in mind influenced by many beautiful textiles that I saw in my travels.
