And I thought you taught a class on Sat.  Wow, that's a lot of dyeing.

Mary, could you please post this pic in projects so we can show off a bit to the Weavolution community.  Also a pic of your 3 olive yarn chips side by side; most of the dyers out there can not reproduce a color, let alone a difficult pale color!

Cathie, I hope you are having fun!  Enjoy the colors where you are...

This doesn't have Polar Red as I still had to do it.  I just wanted to see what it looked like.

I forget how many skeins it takes to do all the colors.  Looking good!

Why, thank-you, Mary.  It sure is good to finally have "something" to show.  I do love color...

I've been spinning this evening as Jeff and I watched "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader."  They had gorgeous sky scene colors....It felt funny to not be doing much of anything.

How beautiful! Better than going into a yarn store because you dyed it yourself! Anyone have ideas what they will do with there leftover skeins? I have about 12yards per color left over.

Cathie, we talked about this the week you were in Mexico.  I had thought about making a page of samples like what I normally do.  Since then, I've decided I don't need two recipe systems with the Lanaset class.  I will probably cut my yarns up and blend them into spinning fibers to make a nubbly yarn with flecks of color (can't think of the specific name for that type of yarn right now).  If you would like, I would be willing to send out tagged lengths of my pure colors so you can see the difference with what you've done.  I realize that my substrate and system will be different but it would definitely be different looking than silk!  I think I also heard tapestry weaving bandied about with the shorter lengths of yarn.  At my last spinning study group I passed around my bag of pure samples and a tapestry weaver didn't want the bag to continue on.

Why don't we swap some. I could send some to you and Mary. It would be so interesting to see the differences.
