The year is drawing to a close. Lots of holidays happening in the next few weeks to keep everyone busy. I am making an early new year's resolution ot check in here more often and starting posting on a more regular basis. I miss seeing everyone's projects and travels. Hope to "see" more of everyone in the upcoming months. Weave on.

Just moving along on a draft from Heinrich Boscher from Handweaving.net. It's from a book fron 1819. Nice blocks of plain and basket weave.

I am taking that as a sign of everyone busily weaving away.

But I am going to work on someone else's loom tonight - hopefully finish correcting a threading error so her daughter can weave off the remaining warp, error-free.

I didn't want to add the "or not" to my post. That sort of describes me. Laughing I have been knitting and spinning like crazy however, so all is not lost!

Does that count? They were actually woven in November. I will post a photo when I come up for air.

I purchased a knitting advent calendar from SweetGeorgia Yarns.  It's been so much fun opening a new mini-skein of yarn and adding on to the project.  Each day is a different color and instructions just for that day. It's enough knitting for a day without being overwhelming.

Sally. Excited to see what you made!

that sounds like fun. I have been knitting shawls, fingerless mitts, hats. . .  I have been spinning to get a sweater's amount of handspun. That's a lot of yarn!

I have been busy! I have been weavibg everyday of my winter break! I am about 3 repeats from finishing the fabric for Oliver's Viking coat!!!

I look forward to seeing you all more often.

I am also busy planning for Weavolution in 2018!

I have finished weaving the extra cloth for Oli's coat. I am now onto weaving fabric for myself! I am hoping to continue to weave about 6"/day, which would give me about a meter of woven cloth for me by the end of my winter break!

I have been running through a variety of number related to weaving, spinning, and other things. If you weave only an inch a day every day, that is 365" or bang on 10 meters per year!

I know we all appreciate teh great progress that we can make in weaving just a little bit every day but I know for some of us actual numbers are far more powerful! :)
