Previously I have used a drawloom with overhead drawcords (single unit). I just finished setting up the Glimåkra 63" with 10 pattern shafts. First the units were threaded all on one shaft then using my draft, counted out and redistributed the units over 10 shafts. 

For one, the 63 inch width is cumbersome to maneuver the shaft bars, (space is an issue) I miscounted and had to restart, then I didn't quite catch some units which then had to be gathered up and put back onto the shaft. It turned out to be a lengthy and cumbersome process. 

I plan to add an additional 40 plus shafts. How do others manage threading or rather rearranging all these pattern shafts? I am sorely missing my overhead single unit system!

You are wise to start with 10 pattern shafts.  You will learn from starting simple and then working up to more shafts.  After a couple times with 10 shafts, then try 20.  Don't ask yourself to do it perfectly in the beginning.  Go easy on yourself.  With experience you will learn to avoid mistakes.  And there are a lot of patterns you can make with just 10 pattern shafts.

I learned to dress my drawloom from Becky Ashden's video! I found it a huge help. Once I had woven a few warps, I was able to study with JoAnne Hall for a few days this summer. You can get JoAnne's book as well. I think the two are great resources.
