Just taking time for a few bragging rights. After nearly 2 years on the loom, this rug is completed. The image was derived from a photo of some unusual paving in slate found in a book from an oriental rug dealer. The geometry was interesting, so I scanned, pixel cleaned it, added color and added a meander border. The natural colored weft pile is Karakul, handspun from raw fleece purchased from Leltty Klein.
Still need to even the pile, scrape out loose short fiber, make the fringe "pretty" and wash it.
