Has anyone used this especially for linen.   This seems like a more cost efficient method than buying severs different size temples.  And doesn’t poke holes in the fabric.  I have never used temples but am taking a class for which they are recommended

I have used this type of temple and haven't found it to be very effective.  You also have to have crossbeams in the right place to use it.  Temples are adjustable; you can often mix up different pieces for a wider range of widths.  I have never seen any holes persist through finishing.
