to any union 36 users:  My warp beam sections are NOT 2 inches between centers.  It takes 13 sections to make up 24 inches.  Is this right?  or do I have a replacement beam that wasn't made right?  It makes figuring how to sley the reed a little difficult. It comes out to beaming something like 22 ends per section with 23 ends every 6th section for a 12 epi warping.

I just measured the space between the pegs of my Union loom's sectional beam.  Mine measures 1 1/2 inches.  I normally warp the center 14 sections with 24 strands of warp each.  This creates a 28 inch wide rug.  I don't know if this helps.

I double warp my union 36 I use 15 sections and 16 strands per section to equal 8 heddles being used this make a nice 27 in rug

I use 15 sections and put 16 strands per section.  I double warp my loom this will make it to where you will use 8 heddles per section and a nice 27 inch wide rug
