Featured pieces will include silk and wool garments from her personal wardrobe along with yardage and accessories by her workshop, the Weavers of Rabun. Hambidge, a Brunswick native, learned to weave in Greece in 1920. She established the Weavers of Rabun in north Georgia in the mid-1930s, and for twenty years operated Rabun Studios retail shop on Madison Avenue in New York. Hambidge applied principles of Dynamic Symmetry to her textile designs, which are reflected in their proportion, motifs, and color usage.
