They look very nice!  Did you use a temple to maintain your width on and off the loom?  Are you pleased with the result?  I find that pictures help me see my work from a different perspective.  I have found that something I was very critical of, looks much better when I step away and look at the "big picture" hehe.

No temple ,I seem to do pretty well without them though I have to keep a sharp eye on the process. Yes, I am pleased with the results so far. I think what is providing so much excitement is I am having to solve new problems, like having to taper the ends of the different materials so you won't have lumps when you change wefts. I weave about 100 plus shawls a year for markets and sometimes I think I can do it in my sleep. Thanks for responding.

Envy you that loom!  I love weaving rag rugs, but my loom is really not heavy enough to do it as I'd like.  Yours sounds like a dream come true.  Like your rugs and the bright colors.

Notes

I haven't woven rag rugs in 30 years. And I didn't do it well then. I scored a rag cutter on E-bay this fall and decided with the addition of a free counter balance loom with cast iron parts that I finally had a loom that would handle the beating that good rags rugs require . Right now I am trying several types of materials . I sell my work at the Local Farmers' Market and hope to do well this these this summer.
