You may want to look at rigid heddle information. A rigid heddle loom that uses one heddle is effectively a 2-harness loom, although it won't have tie up information. Plain weave/tabby weave is a good beginning, but there's also faux basketweave, leno lace, Brooks bouquet lace, color-and-weave like log cabin, summer & winter, and many more techniques. I like the rigid heddlers group and the Weaving 101 group here on Weavolution. Ravelry has a few groups focusing on weaving as well (though many of them are enablers of OLAD -Obsessive Loom Aquisition Disorder).

http://rigidheddleweaving.com/blog has some information. handweaving.net has a lot of drafts, though most of it is for 4 harnesses or more.

I'd like to confirm the threading order for 2 x 2 houndstooth, double width on a double heddle RH.

Notes

My mom has had a Union Custom Loom sitting on her back porch 13 years. She bought it from a lady with the intent of making rag rugs for fun but never made more than 2 rugs. I decided to unbury it during the holidays and played with it and wracked my mom's brian for all that she could remember and managed to make 3 rugs for presents. I really enjoyed it and I'd like to learn to really use the loom. It was already warpped when I started but now it will need rewarpped. It als has two treadles so I know that I won't be able to do more than a basic weave. Is there any online resources that you can recommend I look at?

Thank you so much for your help
