Hi everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in Adelaide and I love all things fibre arts related, especially weaving on my Knitter's Loom. I haven't played with much in the way of fancy weaves yet, as I've been concentrating more on spinning my own yarn to weave with, but i'm keen to get into the patterning that you can do with pickup sticks and a second heddle kit with the loom.

hi Ali, I'm in Adelaide too, at Elizabeth, and have a Knitters Loom with a second heddle kit (that I haven't used yet). I love my Knitters Loom. I also spin. I'm a member of the Elizabethan Spinners and Weavers, as well as the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of SA. Where-abouts are you? There are spinners all over Adelaide, as well as a lot of weavers, so you are in good company.

Do you have Betty Davenports Hands on Rigid Heddle Weaving? Its one of the bibles of Rigid Heddle weaving, and there are other books that have come out in the last few years that are well worth looking at. I can also recommend Jane Patrick's "the Weaver's Ideas Book". If you join the rigid heddlers group on here, we have done several different weave-alongs exploring different techniques, and are currently exploring Krokbragd. Its a lively group and very helpful!
