I am the proud new owner of a Mighty Wolf. According to what one sees on the Schacht website, the looms are shipped partially assembled and you have to do some assembling (adding heddles, etc.) when you receive the loom.  I, however, live in Australia and apparently for export they ship the loom in a knocked-down flat-pack state. Fair enough, I don't mind putting it together. No instructions. None. The pamphlet that came with the various pieces of wood and bags of screws which is called "Mighty Wolf Assembly" starts off "Open the loom." What loom? I can identify most of the main components but I really don't know where to start, nor how to tell one piece of wood from another. Schacht so far has told me there are no more written instructions. I've found buried on their web site some instructions for assembling a Baby Wolf in flat pack export form and I hope there isn't too much difference between the two. Has anyone out there had to do this with a Mighty Wolf? I'm astonished the Schacht has done this, and has no remedy for the unassembled nature of my loom when they shipped it directly to me in this condition.

I am the owner of a new Mighty Wolf, purchased two years ago (but shipped/trucked to me in the US).  Schacht customer service has been outstanding - I am flabbergasted that you are having this experience.  I have exchanged MANY emails with customer service (Denise, in particular), as well as phone calls - and even a Skype conversation to help re-install a heddle bar hook that was shipped slightly bent.

Customer service (if you haven't used it already) email is info @ schachtspindle . com (removing the spaces, of course).  If you are able to do international calling without too much expense, Denise and customer service are at 303-442-3212 (Mountain time zone).

Keep us posted - and feel free to contact me by PM if you want me to take any photos of my loom from any angle.

There is an assembly manual for the knocked down Baby Wolf on the Schacht website, http://www.schachtspindle.com/ under Support, manuals.  I think the Great Wolf and Baby Wolf are basically identical except for width and that should get you most of the way there.

And if not, use the contact page on the site, they've always been helpful to me, even though my looms are used, and my Cranbrook dates from before they bought the design.  They even found an out of production ratchet gear for the missing cloth beam on my 1970's era Cranbrook loom.

I eventually found the Baby Wolf knocked-down instructions on the Schacht web page, but not through any help from them. I am hoping when I get someone else here to help me that I can identify the parts and use the Baby Wolf instructions. I am sure that the people one can talk to in the US are very helpful but with the time zones I would have to call very early in the morning when I am not at my best or very late at night. The only contact I had at Schacht was with shipping and Nate told me there weren't any more instructions and suggested I talk to the loom builder.

If I get into trouble I may get on my Magic Jack and settle in for a long conversation very late at night. Thanks at least for the direct phone line. I have gotten email from Jane Patrick wwho sent me the instructions I already had and a photo of parts labelled primarily in Japanese with English hand written over it.  ARe their only overseas customers Japanese?

I had heard such glowing reviews of the Schacht loms and used them in Madelyn's weaving school so I felt comfortable. Having takens apart and put back together a huge countermarch loom I thought this would be easy!

I know that I'm about six months too late, but I had a similar experience with a completely unassembled Schacht.  I bought mine from someone who had it shipped from Greece.  I found export assembly directions here, http://www.schachtspindle.com/instructions/weaving/floor-loom-export-assembly-0411.pdf

We put it together and had 4 extra washers...  when we finally found these instructions of where they went, we had to take it down and start all over again :-/  Here's to hoping that this links helps others with this problem!
