Motorized skein maker

Has anyone motorized the leclerc metal skein maker? I have an old one which is mounted under a motorized bobbin winder. While going thru my stash before going to ANWG I realized how much white yarn I have! I have seen new wooden ones but they are in the $500 range. I will post a picture tomorrow. Lynda
