Help! I was warping my new 60" Leclerc floor loom when the brake became unhooked. I have about half of the 8 yard warp on. I am warping front to back. I have learned my lesson and will likely never warp front to back again. This is the longest warp I have done. I was just too anxious to get it on the loom. Can the warp be saved? Do I just try to hook the brake again?

What have you got to lose?  Just tie off the warp chains to the front beam.  Work the brake parts back into position and start winding again after firmly pulling the warp in sections across the width of the loom so that what's already on the beam is tensioned again.

Edit!  Don't forget to tie off the threaded groups behind the heddles too!

Thanks again for the input sequel. I spent a few bucks at the hardware store on S hooks. They appear to have been missing. I was able to wind on the rest of the warp. It seems to be working fine. Time will tell as I weave.
