This is my wheel based on the plans for The Dodec spinning wheel found in the fall 2012 spin off magazine. Free plans are found at ravelry in the dodec group. We changed the shape of the pieces and rather than make the spoke wheel per the plans we used a cutting board and pull knobs.

Anyone should be able to afford this wheel. Costs about 15.00 or less to make.  Mine requires less carpentry cos you don't have to cut out the little blocks and spokes for the dodec wheel or the spindle pulley (mine's  using 2 wooden toy wheels glued back to back).

I make a lot of my own equipment like rigid heddle loom, box charkha, hank winder, ball winder, warping mill and anything else I might need. You can find that stuff o my site if you use the search box upper right or pick the DIY category from the menu.  Enjoy!
