Quite often while weaving I will depress a treadle and do the little shift to the side to lock it ( I need to walk to the other to catch the shuttle) and it just will not hold. It keeps sliding off the edge. I've never had this problem with this loom in seven years. Any one else with this experience?

Can you give the treadle tie some slack? It sounds like one of the treadle ties is too tight and pulling the treadle out of the treadle holder. Have someone treadle and see which chain or tie cord is too tight.
