Hello, I noticed in one of the groups there was a discussion about cotton and the differences in the manufacturers. I can't find the discussion now (of course!). I was wondering if someone could take a picture or point me in a direction to see a comparison. Thanks

Not sure which thread it was on, but essentially...

US 8/2 cotton is open end spun with fewer twists per inch than the

Canadian 2/8 cotton which is ring spun and more tightly twisted.

Swedish 2/8 (or 8/2) cotton is made from Egyptian cotton fibres, ring spun and tightly twisted.

The US 8/2 is more textured and weaker than the other two.

I just tried to upload a photo but it's a tif file, not jpg.

cheers,

Laura
