Hi I am using a shuttle I made myself from directions in a book on netting. It seems to work well and hold a good amount of thread. Not sure where one would buy one though.

I bought 2 shuttles from "phoenixmoon 1" on Etsy and I love them!  They fit in my hand nicely and the edge is really nice for beating the threads in.  I also like the shape.

I use netting shuttles bought from the local fishing shop. Come in a wide range of sizes and very inexpensive. They usually need a little bit of sanding to ensure the edges are smooth and won't snag.
