Back in  March, 1996 when I was weaving for a grand total of two months I wove fabric for a blouse.  The fabric was a bit sleazy but ok,  the blouse on the other hand was a boxy, hideous thing that I wore for a brief time because I wove it.

Fast forward to 2012.  After reading a blog post written by  Daryl Lancaster about remaking a gown from handwoven fabric into a coat for herself, I was inspired!  I thought I can take that ugly blouse and re-use the fabric.  The fabric was/is very sleazy, being a new weaver when I wove it, I knew little about sett and yarn grist. I underlined the fabric pieces with Pellon easy knit fabric stabilizer.  Another tip I gleaned from Daryl Lancaster's blog!  I had just enough fabric to make the vest.  I attached Swarovski crystal butterfly crystals to the front and lower right side for some accents.

I noticed that all my yarns did not show up.  Here they are:  10/2 cotton warp and weft, 6/2 cotton warp and weft and Henry's Attic Queen Anne's Lace, warp and weft.
