Notes:

This is my second backstrap that I am making. The first backstrap is the one I use to weave with now. I'm new to weaving. I made my own backstrap loom and I am now understanding the "shafts" are the shed rods, so in this project I have two shafts. Thank you Laverne for explaining that for me! Thank you also for all your wonderful information on your blog, which as you may know is what got me started backstrap weaving. This is where I started http://backstrapweaving.wordpress.com/tutorial-starting-out-in-backstrap-weaving-steps-to-success/

I put 2 shafts for warp-faced

I put 2 shafts for warp-faced plain weave, Maggie...that is, the number of sheds...one created by raising the threads in your string heddles and the other created by raisng the threads that pass over the shed stick.

Thank you!

Thank you for telling me that "shaft" means the sheds! I appreciate!
