Some time ago I made pillows with salún vefnaði, which is named "monk's belt weaving" or "munkbålte". I used the same draft as for the pillows, but adjusted the size.

Added a new photo, that is not upside down.

Why are my pictures upside

Why are my pictures upside down? They look correct within the photo album. I even turned one picture upside down, and re loaded it back in the project, and it was still upside down.

 - took a new photo, made sure the iPad turned the right way, and it is not upside down.

Your Bag is wonderful

A book on weaving bags is what encouraged me to learn to weave. You demonstrate an expert level of weaving. What weaving materials did you use? Does the print design have a name?

Hi 10ashus,thank you for

Hi 10ashus,

thank you for your kind words.

I have added some information on the project, but I was watching EM 2016 football on TV, that I usually does not, but when ones country's football team gets through to next round, one needs to watch, I did not add all the information.

The yarn is Kambgarn, 100%, more often used for knitting.

The pattern is named Salún, in icelandic, otherwise known as monkbålte or munk belt weaving. The difference is though, that within the icelandic tradition, the right side of the cloth is facing upwards (not down).

Thank you Shawn

My loom was counterbalance, but I bought a countermarch system from Gilmakra Sweden and changed it. I find it much more lighter to step on the treadles, and it is also more silent.

I bought a used Glimakra

I bought a used Glimakra vertical system for mine. But I love the CB so much for 4 shafts and I now think I may sell it. LOL

Yes, the reason for buying

Yes, the reason for buying the countermarch was to be able to weave on more shafts, as I am interested in that, but so far, I am still just weaving on  four shafts.

Beautiful work!

This is wonderful! I've been looking for some patterns in which to make woven bags. Did you use a pattern for this?

Thanks!

Thank you Oregon Weaver

I used a draft, that I had used before. Just decided the size of the bag, and wove accordingly , then washed the cloth, and sew the lining from some leftover fabric I had once bought. And just sew it together.
