... or better known as munkbålte. Here in Iceland it is called salún, salon or salón, and the reason why, is not known. It is believed it has been woven here for longest of time, usually used as bedspread. There is a description on how to weave salún on kljásteinsvefstað that is over 200 years old. Kljásteinsvefstað was the old way of weaving, (see picture in link: http://www2.skagafjordur.is/default.asp?... where they are weaving röggvarfeld).

I use kambgarn, blue, dark red, pink, brown and light brown, 100% wool.

I am going to do 2 pillows.

I noticed the line are curved, so I must be doing something wrong.

uploading images

There should be an add buton, and as you upload each to the project page they get displayed as thumbnails one above the other. Then you can drag and drop their order one above the other. The one at the top gets displayed as full size when the project is saved.

Yes

Pammersw, I do that, add one picture at the time, but some time, when I add a picture from my ipad, the top pictures disappear.

Thank you Cathie.

I did not know that, ReedGuy, that one could rearrange the pictures, I will try that out.

Yeah, I think those small devices leave you on your own as many websites are not set up to be mobile friendly.

temple

Greta, if your getting smily faces in your lines, you may need a temple to stretch the cloth while weaving.

Again...

... some pictures get lost, while uploading new ones from my ipad :-( but I could rearrange the order of the pictures from my computer.

Thank you Karen, yes it turned out ok.

Yes ReedGuy, I used a temple on pillow nr. two, and it was better, no smiley faces there :-)
