I have been making bangles, cuffs, bracelets and necklaces with my backstrap woven pieces. After getting a selection of jewelry findings, I turned bands into cuffs edged with tubular bands, wove tiny bands and made them into pendants and sewed flat bands into tubes for bracelets. I used silk and wool for the bands, and buttons, lobster clasps and magnetic`barrel clasps to transform them into jewelry. Lots of fun to make and wear. I want to load up my arms with woven jewelry!
That is such a great idea! I especially like the bracelets. What an excellent use of your beautiful bands.
Thank you. I found that many of the samples I had lying around made nice bracelets and cuffs.
These are totally up to your usual excellent standards!
Thank you, Peg.
Hello there! I have just started playing catchup with your entries and your blog. There is sooooo much there! I also just bought and downloaded your first book.
While I was watching videos on warping, etc, I noticed the cuff you were wearing (bottom of foto here?) and spent more time trying to figure out how you tied it on then your explanations. I promise to go back to rewatch your videos but this time for the sake of the tutorial itself.
Meanwhile, do you have an entry here or on wordpress where you explain how you finish your jewelry/cuffs/fobs...? I would so like to make a few for myself...
