Nancy Jackson, tapestry artist and teacher, is searching for two particular colors (504 and 840) of Paternayan yarn for a student who has a project underway. I'm posting this for her since she's not a Weavolution member: Nancy says: "I’m writing my plea about Paternayan Persian (3 strands that need separating), not Paternayan Crewel (comes as a single strand). One of my students has been waiting many months for the fulfillment of an order for Paternayan Persian 504 and 840 for the current tapestry she is now close to finishing. My supplier has been unable to fill my order because they cannot get enough white skeins to dye to fill the increasing demand for their product. It’s been frustrating, of course, but the company is working on it. In the meantime, a weaver is desperate and so I’m on the hunt for her and I hope someone out there will have the yarn. Can all of you check your stock to see if you have any Paternayan Persian 504 or 840 and let me know if you are willing to sell it. Also, please estimate how old you think the yarn is, since dye lots may make a difference. Skeins from within the last year or two would be better, of course, but desperation calls.
