I learned to weave many years ago in Sweden, and only now getting back to it.  I read somewhere that Swedish drafts are shown differently from US drafts.  For example, Swedish: shaft 1 is at the back; US: shaft 1 is at the front.  So I am having trouble understanding how to thread and tie-up  for a Rosepath project on 4 shafts/6 treadles.

Hmm I can't speak specifically to the difference between Swedish and American drafts. I am an American, but I warp back to front, just as they do in Sweden.

I thread from right to left and I would thread Rosepath 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4 (to start) then repeat 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4.

Traditional Rosepath would be treadled as drawn in with a standard twill treadling, which is lift 1&2, then 2&3, then 3&4, then 4&1. However, my favorite thing to do is to take a threading and explore what happens when you use different lift plan, such as alternating tabby between each of the traditional twill treadles, interleaving 1/3 lifts, undulating the treadling, etc. For more on this, consider my Exploring Twills class, here on Weavolution.
