The Weavers guild of Boston has 4 looms for sale, for pickup only.

1)  40” 8-shaft Macomber loom, with one reed, a supplementary warp beam, and a cloth beam.  It is in perfect working order except for one superglue job.  It has a white Tencel lace warp ready to be woven!  Picke up in Somerville, MA during weekday hours of 8 to 4 by arrangement. PRICE: $750.  New, this loom would cost over $3000. Bench $150.

2)  40” 12-shaft Macomber loom in need of some loving refurbishing and new parts. The loom must be picked up from Natick, MA. Best reasonable offer of $500 or more.  New, this loom would cost over $3800.

3) 27.5” 24-shaft Louet Magicdobby with mechanical and computer dobbies and stand.  One shaft sticks a bit but should be easily fixable.  Must be picked up, currently in Hopkinton, MA. PRICE: $3000.  New looms with these options are over $6500.  This is the cheapest way to find out whether you like weaving with 24 shafts! Information about Louet Magicdobby looms can be found here: <http://www.louet.com/spinning_weaving/magic.shtml>

4) ~16" 8 shaft LeClerc Dorothy table loom, mostly refurbished for $300.  Must be picked up, located in Westborough, MA.  New these cost nearly $1200.

Proceeds will help support publication of the new book celebrating the guild's 90th anniversary and republication of older monographs.  Contact Laurie Autio for more information.

I am interested in bench listed with Macomber. I would want to pick it up at the weavers guild meeting. I am unfamiliar with Somerville area. Is this possible?. Email me privately at [email protected]. Thank you Judy Goodwin
