Join us on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 7:00pm for a presentation by artist and author Mary Hettmansperger, titled "Free Range Fiber Artist".

Mary is a fiber artist with her focus on Basketry, Metals, and Beadwork. She has been teaching full time for 25 years in venues including, Arrowmont craft school, Bead and Button, Convergence, National and Regional Fiber conferences, Basketry and Beading Conferences, Art and Craft Schools, private Guilds, workshops and Retreats. Her work has been published in many magazines and books. She has made appearances in segments of PBS the program "Beads Baubles and Jewels"

Mary has authored and illustrated her own book, Fabulous Woven Jewelry, published by Lark/Sterling, available at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota This book offers 24 of her original designs. She is currently working on her second book which will be jewelry designs and concepts using cold connections. Mary also exhibits at SOFA, Galleries and Art shows.

Mary will be leading two workshops at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota: "Woven Copper & Beaded Jewelry" on September 9 and "Looped Jewelry" on September 10.

Presentation located at the Weavers Guild of Minnesota.  Social hour begins at 6:30 pm and meeting begins at 7:00 pm. New members are encouraged to attend. Guests are always welcome.
