I know Lillian Whipple is the last word on this, but I am happy to do moderator-duty. It would be great if we can exchange ideas, drafts etc. I took Lillian's workshop in Texas last Spring...absolutely the best workshop I've ever done.

I've finished weaving 500 "She Who Watches" logos for ANWG. I'm now working on weaving my Christmas Card pieces. It took me about 5 or six revisions and tweeks before I got what I wanted. Now I'm in business.
It's taking me awhile to check through the proper procedure. I hope I can post finally.
Taquete is a compound plain weave. The threading block is 1-3-2-3. Shafts 1 & 2 are the tie-downs and shaft 3 is the pattern shaft. Shafts 1&2 create plain weave. Samitum is compound twill. The threading for the simplest samitum block is 1-4-2-4-3-4. Shafts 1, 2 &3 are the tie-downs and create twill. Shaft 4 is the pattern shaft.
