Taqueté

I know Lillian Whipple is the last word on this, but I am happy to do moderator-duty.   It would be great if we can exchange ideas, drafts etc.   I took Lillian's workshop in Texas last Spring...absolutely the best workshop I've ever done.

Anyway, check out my blog for what I'm doing with it

Let's compare notes???Successes? Failures? (It's NOt a failure, it's a learning-opportunity!)

I've finished weaving 500 "She Who Watches" logos for ANWG. I'm now working on weaving my Christmas Card pieces. It took me about 5 or six revisions and tweeks before I got what I wanted. Now I'm in business.

It's taking me awhile to check through the proper procedure. I hope I can post finally.

Taquete is a compound plain weave. The threading block is 1-3-2-3. Shafts 1 & 2 are the tie-downs and shaft 3 is the pattern shaft. Shafts 1&2 create plain weave. Samitum is compound twill. The threading for the simplest samitum block is 1-4-2-4-3-4. Shafts 1, 2 &3 are the tie-downs and create twill. Shaft 4 is the pattern shaft.
