Color Trends & Color Theory Class

Please join Michele Wipplinger this July 22-26 at Long Ridge Farm in beautiful Westmoreland, New Hampshire.

Participants will explore aspects of color perception including aesthetics, dynamics, theory, and use. Students will learn how color functions in various applications including how it interacts both with other colors and with components such as texture and lighting.Working from diverse historic and cultural sources, this class will move through classical concepts of color such as: hue, value and saturation as well as types of color mixing and color composition, to ideas of contemporary artistic and designer practice.


Earthues provides all participants the following tools as part of the lab fee:

Munsell book of color samples
NCS European color exercises
Color Specifiers/Color Wheels
Water Color Paints
Color Composition Exercise Sheets
Color Aid Papers for Design Exercises
Color Acuity Testing
